Kim Davis, the Kentucky clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples, got exactly what she wanted today when a judge held her in contempt and ordered her to jail.
Now, she, her lawyer and supporters can whine about “persecution of Christians” and raise millions of dollars. A GoFundMe page should be up soon, if not already.
With these types of Christians, it’s all about being persecuted and being a martyr, and if there’s no persecution, they invent it. Sending Kim Davis to jail plays right into her hands.
