We have regained all lost jobs from the downturn

The US unemployment rate stayed at 6.3% last month. Employers added 217,000 jobs in May, marking a substantial gain for four months in a row and fueling hopes for the economy.

The job market has reached a significant milestone: Nearly five years after the Great Recession ended, we have finally regained all the jobs lost in the downturn. However, population has grown nearly 7 percent since then.
