The market for assault weapons has finally cooled off.
Over the last couple of years, sales have surged for military-style semiautomatic rifles, driven by fears of a federal ban — fears stoked by the gun cult lobby and the weapons industry, making billions of dollars off the paranoia being ratcheted up about the scary black man in the White House.
But the market is said to be getting back to normal, with prices for such weapons going back down to pre-Sandy Hook levels.
What this means is, with sales cooling off, look for the gun industry to ratchet up even more fear. They’ve got to sell more guns and ammo to an increasingly smaller demographic.
